Who is eligible to join MD Health Group? Individual employer groups with 2 or more employees that belong to Bexar County Medical Society (BCMS) can obtain group health insurance for their employees, with guaranteed issue coverage.   What are the participation requirements? 75% or more of the “eligible” employees must participate in the medical plan.   What is an “eligible employee? All full time employees working 30 hours or more are eligible for the medical plan.   Does an employer have to contribute to an employee’s premium? Yes, the employer is required to contribute between 75% - 100% of the employee only premium.
